The Visionaries Behind Maharaja

Founded by the epicurean Mundkur Subbanna Prabhu and his culinary expert wife, Komal Prabhu, Maharaja Family Restaurant is a testament to their passion for exquisite dining experiences. Focused on Gowda Saraswat Brahmin (GSB) and Coastal Mangalorean cuisines, their vision emphasized gastronomic pleasure, unwavering quality, and customer satisfaction.

Komal oversees end-to-end operations, leading a customer-focused team. Her journey into food hospitality began with Subbanna’s entrepreneurial spirit. Maharaja’s success is the result of Komal and Subbanna’s relentless dedication to customer delight. Komal’s personal curation of masalas adds the perfect touch to Maharaja’s signature dishes.

M Sudhindra S Prabhu

Sudhindra, a Hotel Management graduate, embraces innovation to enhance Maharaja. With a modern outlook, he mentors staff, ensuring the restaurant stays abreast of industry trends. Sudhindra also operates CKK, a QSR in Mangalore, and Prabhava Caterers, a catering firm.

Laxmidas, the younger son of the Prabhu couple, is the PR face of Maharaja. His warm welcome at the entrance sets the tone for a special dining experience. Beyond his role as a host, Laxmidas excels in order management, ensuring efficient handling of entries and billing.
